Mediation & Arbitration
James D. Case has been directing his practice toward full time mediation and arbitration and is available to assist individual clients, businesses and other attorneys in moving their matters expeditiously and economically through an alternative dispute resolution process.
Mediations as well as arbitrations are more economical, less stressful and generally more designed to reach resolution without acrimony than the typical litigation process. Mr. Case has more than 34 years of experience in a litigation oriented practice on the plaintiff as well as the defense side. He is licensed and has practiced in both Washington and Oregon.
Mr. Case has participated in hundreds of mediations as an advocate, gaining an intimate understanding of what makes mediations work and what allows them to fail. And he has conducted many, many arbitration hearings, gaining insights to the benefits of arbitration at a lower cost and a lower stress level for the participants and the attorneys.
The most complete listing of Mr. Case’s qualifications can be found on the Federal Court Website, Alternative Dispute Resolution section, for the Western District of Washington where he has been certified as a neutral for mediation and arbitration.
